📌 Who we are

Fabrica de Scaune is a second-generation, family-run business based in Botosani, Romania. Since 1991, we’ve been crafting wooden chairs and tables—both folding and fixed—designed to bring people together around the table, whether at home, in a café, or in a cozy restaurant.

We started with rustic chairs featuring woven reed seats, loved abroad for their artisan charm. Over time, we evolved to meet new needs—offering durable, comfortable, and beautifully simple furniture that fits even in compact apartments or bustling hospitality spaces.

We don’t just build chairs—we create space for connection. Around a dining table, a kitchen island, or a café counter, our furniture brings people together.

Wood is more than a material—it’s warmth, structure, and calm. We treat it with respect, and in return it gives us furniture that feels good to use every day.

🌱  How we work - responsibly 
 

We use short-length timber and optimize production to reduce waste.

We upcycle sawdust into heating briquettes, used to dry wood and heat our production halls.

We support the local economy, working with Romanian suppliers and keeping added value in the country.

🌍 What we hope to build

Our dream? That someday, when someone says "Chairs from Botoșani", it means: solid, thoughtful, and beautifully made.
